Fire Extinguisher Service Projections

Annual Service

When the annual service work order is created, the software will do service projections for Hydro, 6 Year, and Annual service.

Monthly Service

When an accounts service schedule is more frequent than Annual, such as Monthly, once a year an Annual service work order is created and the service projections will look for Hydro, 6 Year, or Annual service due.  The other work orders created during the year will do service projections for a monthly inspection only.

The annual work order is determined by:

1.       The service schedule setting for the “Annual Month”

2.       or, if the “Annual Month” has not been set, from the “Annual” date of the fire extinguisher list

Custom Setting

You can set the software do a service projection for Hydro and 6 Year regardless if and annual service or monthly inspection is being created.  This is an all or nothing setting and will affect all future work orders being created for any account.

To do Hydro and 6 Year service projections for every fire extinguisher scheduled maintenance work order:

1.       Open Inquest

2.       From the “Customize” menu select “Services”

3.       Select the “Fire Extinguisher” service and click  the ‘Edit” button

4.       Select the “Options” tab

5.       Change the “Report Hydro and 6 Year due only at Annual Service” setting to “No”

6.       Click OK

7.       Save your changes

Note: This is an all or nothing setting.  All future fire extinguisher scheduled maintenance work orders being created for any account will use this setting.  Any existing work orders are not affected by this change.
